Changing your Password in Banner INB

Important notes on the Banner INB password change

1. Due to the high volume of personal information that exists in Banner, please choose a password that meets the following standards:

• At least 8 characters
• At least 1 number
• A wild card (!, @, $, etc.)

2. Using the Oracle Password Change Form (GUAPSWD) only changes the password in the instance you are currently logged into. It will not effect:

• MySanDiego Account
• Email
• Oracle Self Service
• AD
• Other Banner Instances

Steps

1. After logging on to Banner INB, the General Menu (GUAGMNU) will appear. The link to change your password is under the My Links pane on the right side of the menu.

2. The Oracle Password Change Form (GUAPSWD) will appear.

• Please type in your current password
• Leave the Database section blank
• Enter your new password
• Verify the password
• Click the Save Icon

You will see the follwing screen

Click OK. You will return General Menu (GUAGMNU)

Your password has been changed!
