Security and Access Team (SAT)

Overview

The Banner Security and Access Team is responsible for collecting the requirements and designing the strategy for access to INB Banner, SSB Banner, and BDMS AppXtender and then in turn implementing the access plan. The analyst will meet with a director or a member of management from each major administrative department approximately two months before the department's Banner go-live to collect the requirements for access for the department's current personnel.

After the requirements are collected and documented, the documentation is passed to the database administrator to implement the access in the Banner instance.

On an ongoing basis after go-live as departments gain personnel, a form will be available online (similar to the current one for the legacy VAX system) to request access for new users.
