Enrique's Journey CoverThe San Diego Public Library, KPBS, USD and AS present Enrique's Journey by Sonia Nazario (winner of the Pulitzer Prize)

Enrique's Journey is about a 17 year old Honduran boy who immigrates to the U.S. from Honduras in search of his mother who left him years ago to work in the United States. This book is a coming of age story and a story about family torn apart and their struggle to be together again. This book began as a series of articles in the Los Angeles Times newspaper and eventually won two Pulitzer Prizes.

AS is joining the "One Book, One San Diego" campaign to encourage everyone who lives, works or visits San Diego to read and discuss the same book. "The campaign was developed to promote an appreciation for reading and encourage discussion about books and important issues to our community." -Jerry Sanders, Mayor of San Diego

The University of San Diego is hosting one of many book clubs on campus. The AS book club will meet once on Thurs. March 1st, 6:30 pm at Manchester Village Multipurpose Room.
