My reason for running for Vice President can be summed up in 5 words: "My love for this University". I believe that Associated Students has the power to transform the lives of students, ultimately assuring that each student can have the wonderful experience that I have had here. My overarching goals for the semester would include the promotion of inclusion as well as that of school spirit. I am a senior double majoring in Psychology and Sociology. I am involved on campus as a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, a co-anchor for "The Scoop", and currently serve as the Chief of Staff for Associated Students. Prior to holding the position of Chief of Staff, I was a residential senator serving on the inaugural Committee of Inclusion Diversity. |

My name is Andrew Yachera and I am running for the Vice President Position in AS. I am a junior who transferred to USD from Arizona State University. Coming from a bigger school, I realize how unique USD is and how getting involved both academically and socially can improve the college experience immensely. My goals for this position consist of: Improving student involvement, helping students realize how beneficial participation is both in the classroom as well as in office hours, and leaving USD a better place than when I inherited it.
