Can I receive credit for the course I take in ASAP?

Some ASAP courses may be eligible to substitute for high school course credit – School and district policies vary. Make sure to check with your school’s administration first if you intend to take an ASAP course and transfer the credits toward your graduation requirements. All course substitution decisions are made at the discretion of the local schools and districts.

How rigorous is the work load? How many hours a week will I be expected to work for one (1) course?

A select number of courses in writing, math, science, world languages, and the social sciences will be made available to high school students during an intensive six-week period of study during the summer of 2012.  Participating students should be prepared to engage in an intensive exploration of the subject and can expect a rigorous work environment.

Can I apply to the ASAP program if I am currently in middle school?

Students are eligible to attend ASAP once they complete grade 8, and they can apply each summer through the completion of grade 11. Students become ineligible for ASAP when they complete grade 12.
