College Credit Examinations

ADVANCED PLACEMENT (AP) PDF[pdf 92 KB]

Advanced placement college credit may be granted for advanced placement courses taken in secondary schools, when such courses are completed with scores of 3, 4, or 5 on appropriate Advanced Placement Tests given by the College Entrance Examination Board. Higher scores are required on certain tests. Students may request an official report from the College Board Advanced Placement Program by calling (609) 771-7300 or visit the web site at www.collegeboard.com/school .

COLLEGE-LEVEL EXAMINATION PROGRAM (CLEP) PDF[pdf 40 KB]

College credit may be granted by approved subject examinations when a passing score of 50 has been earned. Students may request an official copy by calling (609) 771-7865 or visit the web site at www.collegeboard.com/clep. A processing fee of $25.00 per accepted unit is to be paid to Student Accounts in the Hughes Administration Center .

INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE (IB) PDF[pdf 56 KB]

The University of San Diego recognizes the IB as a rigorous College Preparatory Program. Students who successfully pass the approved examinations with a (HL) score of 5 or higher will receive college credits. Students who receive a (SL) score of 5 or higher for an approved selected examination can also receive college credits.
