College Credit Examinations

ADVANCED PLACEMENT (AP) [pdf 92 KB]

Advanced placement college credit may be granted for advanced placement courses taken in secondary schools, when such courses are completed with scores of 3, 4, or 5 on appropriate Advanced Placement Tests given by the College Entrance Examination Board. Higher scores are required on certain tests. COLLEGE-LEVEL EXAMINATION PROGRAM (CLEP) [pdf 40 KB]

College credit may be granted by approved subject examinations when a passing score of 50 has been earned. Students may request an official copy by calling (609) 771-7865 or visit the web site at www.collegeboard.com/clep. A processing fee of $25.00 per accepted unit is to be paid to Student Accounts in the Hughes Administration Center .

INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE (IB) [pdf 56 KB]

The University of San Diego recognizes the IB as a rigorous College Preparatory Program. Students who successfully pass the approved examinations with a (HL) score of 5 or higher will receive college credits. Students who receive a (SL) score of 5 or higher for an approved selected examination can also receive college credits.
