Room Sign-up Information

Fall Semester

During the spring semester, students will make their housing decisions for the following fall semester.  There are three options for room choices: Squatter's Rights, Stratified Lottery or Residential Learning Community (RLC). All housing choices require a $250 non-refundable Room Prepayment.  Dates and details for the sign-up process will be available from the Department of Residential Life.  Sign-up information is also distributed via the Living On At USD newsletter and the VISTA student newspaper.

Spring Semester

Since on-campus occupancy is for the entire academic year (both fall and spring semesters), fall semester residents continue in their same room for the spring semester.  Any student not in campus housing during the fall semester should contact the Office of Residential Life after Thanksgiving regarding housing availability.  The $250 non-refundable Room Prepayment will be necessary for new residents to hold a space for the spring semester.
