Where to Eat on Campus?
Main Dining: Located on the upper level of the University Center, the Main Dining Room overlooks Tecolote Canyon and Mission Bay, boasting some of the most fabulous views in San Diego. An all-you-care to-eat, buffet-style breakfast, lunch and dinner are available during the week. On the weekends, enjoy brunch and dinner. The menu changes daily and includes a 15-foot salad bar, homemade soups and vegetarian entrees.
La Paloma: This popular café is located at the west-end of campus within the Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice. Enjoy breakfast specials, grilled sandwiches, fresh made to order pasta, signature salads, or soups while relaxing on the patio, or take advantage of the extensive grab-and-go menu for lunch on the run. A variety of cold beverages, an espresso bar and fresh baked goods are also available.
The Marketplace: Deli, Bakery & Market (located on the upper level of the University Center). Home of the ‘Torero Salad', the Deli features a complete line of sandwiches, fresh fruit, a salad bar, soup station and grab and go meals made fresh daily.
The Bakery serves more than just delicious muffins, bagels and scones baked fresh daily in our master kitchen. The Bakery is also home to USD's own smoothie bar - boasting a huge variety of different blended juice drinks, all made from real fruit. Fair-trade organic coffee, tea, soft gourmet pretzels, Dreyer's ice cream by the scoop, shakes and ice-blended coffees are also available.
The Market, adjacent to the Bakery, is a convenience store that provides you with all of your one-stop shopping needs: grab and go foods, chips, candy, a large selection of sodas, waters, juices, energy drinks, sushi, ice cream, magazines, toiletries, frozen foods, staple grocery items and more!
Torero Grille: This canyon-side getaway, located downstairs in the University Center, features char-grilled hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, fresh baked pizzas, Mexican and Asian cuisine, and much more.
Aromas: USD's award-winning coffeehouse is located in the southwest corner of Maher Hall (lower level). Starbucks coffees, Tazo teas and Torani Italian sodas are featured. Enjoy homemade baked goods and desserts, freshly prepared grab-and-go salads and sandwiches. Aromas provides you with the perfect setting to enjoy a coffee or tea with friends without having to leave campus. Computer stations and a wireless port are also available for your convenience.
