The David W. May American Indian Gallery is located in Serra Hall, room 214. The Gallery was newly built in 2006.

 

 

 

 

The first Museology class to utilize the new space, met in the Spring of 2006, under the guidance of Dr. Alana Cordy-Collins, Director of the David W. May American Indian Artifacts Collection and Gallery. Their exhibit was entitled Weaving the Word.

 

The current exhibit is Mugs of the Mesas, and was curated by Dr. Tim Gross, of the Anthropology Program, USD, designed by Paul Johnson, and features photography by William Lile. The exhibit is open on Mondays,

Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 1:30pm to 3:30pm, and also by appointment, 619.260.4238.
