Student Alumni Association Membership Information
The Student Alumni Association has two membership options outlined below. Decide which one works best for you!
General Membership
This membership option is for the busy student who wants opportunities to network with alumni and participate in USD traditions but who is unable to chair events and attend bi-weekly meetings.
- T-shirt and membership card
- Invitations to alumni networking events
- Member events with alumni speakers and networking training
- Finals Feeding Frenzy front-of-the-line privilege
- Free ticket to the Homecoming Picnic and Tailgate
- Inclusion in the USD Alumni Association Linked In group (professional networking website)
- Fall Special – Only $15 for your lifetime as a student (Regular price: $25)
Leadership Opportunities
The Student Alumni Association currently offers two leadership opportunities: Leadership Council and SAA Committees.
- The Leadership Council is responsible for determining the mission and strategic direction of SAA. The council meets every other Tuesday during dead hours. SAA Committees plan and execute SAA events and projects. Applications are e-mailed to current SAA members at the beginning of every semester.
- Committees meet a minimum of one time per month (maybe more during specific event planning). Committees include: Marketing and Recruitment, Traditions, Networking, and Member Relations. Applications are e-mailed to current SAA members at the beginning of every semester.
If you are looking to increase your involvement in USD and develop your leadership and professional skills in a challenging and fast paced environment, then Student Alumni Association Leadership Council or participation in a Committee is for you.
Core Leadership Team
This membership option is for the student who wants to be more involved with the behind-the-scenes of SAA, planning and hosting events and activities for students and alumni and attending bi-weekly meetings.

- Invitation to Alumni Association Board of Directors' meetings and events
- Assigned an Alumni Association Board of Directors mentor
- Access to the USD Torero Network (Alumni Online Community)
- Priority for sponsored student seats at Alumni Honors

- $35 per semester
