Chicago

The Chicago Alumni Chapter is one of the USD Alumni Association's most vibrant long-standing chapters serving alumni in Illinois and northern Indiana. The chapter hosts 3-4 annual events including networking events, community service and scholarship fundraising events. Also, the Chicago Alumni Chapter has a close relationship with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at USD and offers opportunities for alumni to attend HS College Fairs, interview potential students and make congratulatory phone calls to accepted students.

60th Anniversary Celebration at the Architrouve
Thursday, October 29 at 6 p.m.
To RSVP for this event click here.

Please join fellow USD alumni, parents and friends for a special evening to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the University of San Diego. This evening’s event will be held at the Architrouve Art Gallery located in the heart of Chicago at 1433 W. Chicago Avenue.

This event will feature special guest Dean Mary Boyd from USDs College of Arts and Sciences and Jim Tunney, motivational speaker and “The Dean of NFL Referees”.

Additionally, this event will provide you with the opportunity to meet with fellow Toreros living in the Chicago area as well as enjoy wine tasting, gourmet heavy hors d'oeuvres, and a silent auction. The first 60 guests that RSVP will receive a fashionable gift bag of USD and Chicago-based goodies!

Proceeds of the silent auction and the event will go to benefit student scholarships at the University of San Diego, which are needed now more than ever before.

The exhibit being shown at the Architrouve that night is “Under the Viaduct”, a selection of new works created by the group of Chicago Avenue muralists who have participated in the West Town Mural Project.

This is a group exhibition introducing the community to the talented and diverse artists of the West Town Mural Project. Their large-scale murals have greatly contributed to the beautification of the community while providing education and support to community members and its’ visitors. This is an opportunity for the community to further their knowledge of public art and to learn about and enjoy each artist’s style and background by review of their equally important studio work.

We hope to see you on October 29th to meet fellow USD alumni, parents, friends, Mr. Tunney and Dean Boyd.
