Getting to USD

By Car
From the North: Use I-5 south, exit at Sea World Drive and Tecolote Road and proceed left at the stoplight onto Tecolote Road. Turn right on Morena, left on Napa and left on Linda Vista Road. Travel east on Linda Vista Road, up the hill, to USD's Main Driveway, turn left into campus.

From the South (Or the Airport): Use I-5 north, exit Morena Blvd. (signs will say "Morena Blvd. use I-8 east"). Stay to the right and follow the signs for Morena. When the road splits, stay to the right onto Linda Vista Road. Travel east on Linda Vista Road, up the hill, to USD's Main Driveway, turn left into campus.

From the East: Use I-8 west, exit at Morena Blvd. When the road splits, stay to the right onto Linda Vista Road. Travel east on Linda Vista Road, up the hill, to USD's Main Driveway, turn left into campus.

By Air
San Diego International Airport at Lindbergh Field is located about 15 minutes west of campus. It is served by the following airlines:

Airport shuttles, taxis and car rentals can be found at all terminals. If you have a hotel reservation in San Diego, some hotels provide complimentary shuttle services to and from the airport. Car rentals are also available at the airport with shuttles providing transportation to the rental facilities. You can find the following car rental companies at the airport:

By Public Transportation
MTS buses, trolleys and coasters provide convenient transportation throughout San Diego County. If you want to use the local bus service, you need to take Bus Route 44 to our campus. Bus schedules differ, but service the stop by our entrance every 15 to 20 minutes.

The San Diego Trolley runs every 15 minutes throughout most of the day and 30 minutes in the evening. The stop nearest our campus in the Morena/Linda Vista stop off of the Blue Line.

The North County Coaster runs 43 miles along the coast with station stops in downtown San Diego, Old Town, Solana Beach, Encinitas, Carlsbad and Oceanside. It is best to transfer from the Coaster to a bus at the Old Town Transit Center to reach our campus.

Parking
A parking permit may be obtained from the kiosk at the entrance to USD. Your parking permit is valid in white-lined spaces only, not red ("Reserved"), yellow or blue ("Handicapped", unless appropriate) spaces. We would encourage you to park in our multi-level parking structure near the entrance. This is the best place to park and is a 5-8 minute walk from our office. You are welcome to park closer to our office if you can, but unfortunately those spaces are often not available.
