ISO

As a member of the International Student Organization, I'm here with a whole team who friends to help new international students settle into USD or San Diego itself. The reason why I joined this organization was that when I first arrived, they made me feel very much at home and offered plenty of help. So I decided I wanted to do this for the new incoming students as well. Plus, there are no Taiwanese people in the organization yet. So way to REPRESENT!

Not only do we host Coffee Hour, but we also organize events for everyone to enjoy! It is great fun just helping out and having a blast with these amazing people.

Restaurant Hopping

Every Wednesday, my two best friends and I would go restaurant hopping; trying different cuisines and restaurants in San Diego . We would go from La Jolla to Hillcrest to Downtown San Diego . San Diego has plenty to offer when it comes to food including a whole variety from Asian cuisine to Middle Eastern and to American food.

Coffee Hour

Coffee Hour, open to everyone, at the International Office gave students a chance to meet and mingle with more people. It also helps international students get along with each other and settling into USD. Coffee Hour is a place where I met my two current best friends and most of my friends. I always thought it was a struggle to meet people in college but with a welcoming committee like this, I no longer felt that way.

Torero Days!

O-Week, otherwise known as the Orientation Week for the new coming students of 2005, introduced the many qualities of college life here at San Diego . My first memory upon arriving on campus after a friend picked me up from the airport was looking at my dorm from the outside and saying “Whoa!” The spectacular architecture of the buildings got me excited for the semester to begin.

Upon exploring the campus more and more, I felt an increase in adoration, as I begin to attach myself to this school. While beginning to meet more and more people, I began to love San Diego . With the beautiful weather of this city, the beach just 15-20 minutes away, nothing could go wrong.
