If you have completed at least twelve years of schooling in a preparatory school program (e.g., preparatoria, gymnasium, Form VI, liceo, or high school), you may be considered for undergraduate freshman admission. USD seeks serious students, and those applying as freshmen are expected to present a well-balanced secondary school program of college preparatory courses. We require official transcripts of all high school and college work that you have attempted. When additional terms have been finished, updated transcripts should be mailed to our office. These transcripts must be translated into English.

Transfer applicants are required to be in good standing at their current or most recent institution. We require official transcripts of all work attempted and these transcripts must be translated into English. Individual official transcripts must be obtained from each college/university attended. Students need to submit a final high school transcript but it is not used in determining admission to the University.

To have your International Baccalaureate (IB) or Advanced Placement (AP) scores evaluated for college credit, please have them directly sent to the Office of Admissions from the IB office or College Board. Please visit below the approved listing of AP/IB.

Advanced Placement (AP)/International Baccalaureate (IB) Test Credit

USD strongly recommends foreign high school or college transcripts to be evaluated by an outside agency. An outside evaluation service has proven to be very effective in serving the needs of both the international student and the university administrators.
