Fall Open House

We are excited to announce that our Fall Open House will be held this year on Saturday, November 8!  We hope that you will join us for a fun-filled day of activities intended for high school seniors, transfer students and their families. 

Check-in begins at 9:00 AM and the day will conclude at 3:30 PM.  In order to learn more about our campus and help you discover your future at USD, we have planned a full schedule of events including:

• Continental breakfast
• Welcome address
• Campus tour led by a current student
• Question and Answer Panels designed for parents and students
• Lunch with faculty from all academic areas
• Clubs and organizations bazaar
• Information tailored to the transfer applicant
• General admissions and financial aid information

 

FALL OPEN HOUSE CHECK-IN & PARKING INFORMATION

 

The following will provide you with driving directions, parking information and where to check-in.

 

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

 From the North: Use I-5 south, exit at Sea World Drive and Tecolote Road and proceed left at the stoplight onto Tecolote Road. Turn right on Morena, left on Napa and left on Linda Vista Road. Travel east on Linda Vista Road to USD's first entrance which is the West Entrance, and turn left into campus.  At the first stop sign next to the kiosk, turn left into the West Marian Way Parking Structure where you will park. 

From the South (Or the Airport) : Use I-5 north, exit Morena Blvd. (signs will say "Morena Blvd. use I-8 east"). Stay to the right and follow the signs for Morena. When the road splits, stay to the right onto Linda Vista Road. Travel east on Linda Vista Road to USD's first entrance which is the West Entrance, and turn left into campus.  At the first stop sign next to the kiosk, turn left into the West Marian Way Parking Structure where you will park. 

From the East: Use I-8 west, exit at Morena Blvd. When the road splits, stay to the right onto Linda Vista Road. Travel east on Linda Vista Road to USD's first entrance which is the West Entrance, and turn left into campus.  At the first stop sign next to the kiosk, turn left into the West Marian Way Parking Structure where you will park. 

 

 CHECK-IN LOCATION: CAMINO/FOUNDERS PATIO

(located between Camino Hall and Founders Hall-please refer to USD map for details)

 

When you arrive on campus, please look for representatives from our office to direct you to parking. 

 

Once you have parked, there are two options for getting to Camino/Founders Patio:

 

Option 1:  You can take the elevator to the ground floor of the parking structure and wait for the shuttle which will be picking up approximately every 10 minutes.  The shuttle will drop you off in front of Camino/Founders.  The Patio is located between the two buildings.  Please look for directional signs.

 

Option 2:  Camino/Founders Patio is a short walk up the hill.  You can proceed to the entrance of the parking structure where you initially came in.  Turn left and head up hill.  Once you are at the top of the hill, make sure you are on the left hand side of the street. Walk to the third building, which is Camino Hall.  Right past Camino Hall and before Founders Hall is the Camino/Founders Patio. Please for directional signs.
