Torero Visit Day

We are excited to announce that our annual Torero Visit Day will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017. We hope you'll join us for the opportunity to explore campus while connecting with current Toreros and USD faculty.

Check-in will begin at 8:45 a.m. in the Camino/Founders Patio, with the event concluding at 3:00 p.m. Throughout the day, you'll take part in an array of activities intended to help you envision your future at USD, including: 

  • Continental Breakfast with Torero Ambassadors
  • Clubs and Organizations Bazaar
  • Campus Tour
  • Student and Parent Panels
  • Lunch with Torero Ambassadors and USD Faculty 
  • Academic Breakout Sessions 
  • Admissions and Financial Aid Presentation


You may register for Torero Visit Day via the MySanDiego portal. After logging in to the portal, visit the Admissions-Admitted tab and look for the "Spring Admitted Student Events" section. When registering, please note that you must use the email address you have on file with USD in order for your registration to be successful. (This will be the email address we have been using to contact you.) If you encounter problems when attempting to register, please: (1) make sure your pop-up blocker is disabled, (2) try another web browser and (3) clear your web browser cache. If you still cannot register, please give us a call so that we can assist.

You should have already received your MySanDiego username and password in an email sent to you by soon after you submitted your application. If you've misplaced your login credentials, please use the "Forgot Username/Password" link on the MySanDiego login screen, under "USD Applicants."

Planning Your Trip

When arranging hotel accommodations, we recommend that you consider booking with Bartell Hotels. Owned and operated by an USD alumnus, Bartell Hotels offers discounted room rates to friends and visitors of USD and donates 10% of all total room costs back to the University in support of student scholarships. Parking and Check-In

To prepare for your trip to campus, please review our driving directions and campus map. Make sure to enter campus via the West Entrance and park in the West Marian Way Parking Structure, which will be just ahead on your left. Check-in will take place in the Camino/Founders Patio, which is a short - but rather steep - walk up the hill from this structure. Should this walk pose any challenges to you or your family, trams will be available to take you up the hill. 

Trams will routinely pick up from the ground floor of the parking structure between 8:15-10:10 a.m. Once the tram takes you up the hill, you will notice that part of our campus is undergoing construction. Make sure to walk along the northern edge of the construction area so that you may access the Camino/Founders Patio, which will be on your left-hand side, immediately following Camino Hall.

Trams will be available again from 2:45-4:00 p.m. to take you back down the hill to the parking structure.
