Sister Virginia Rodee ’57, ’74 will explain the history of this USD landmark. Space is limited.

Wipe Out! A Lesson in Surf Culture and History
Degheri Alumni Center, Room 120
Did you bring your longboard and wet suit? Join Professor Jerome Hall as he examines various components of one of California's fastest growing leisure activities in a classroom-style presentation. Hall will discuss surfing's Polynesian roots and their transmission--via the Hawaiian islands--to Southern California. Hall is a nautical archaeologist and a professor in the department of anthropology.

Everyone is welcome at the daily mass in USD’s beloved Founders Chapel.

You and your student are invited to enjoy a delightful breakfast.
Molly McClain, Ph.D., will present “The University of San Diego's 60th Anniversary: Architectural Tradition with 21st Century Innovation,” a brief history of the university with emphasis upon the advances made during the past ten years. Dr. Tim O’Malley, vice president of university relations, will share his views on USD’s exciting future. Breakfast is served
at 9:15 a.m. and the program begins at 9:45 a.m.

Meet in front of Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice
Join us for an informative and entertaining tour of San Diego
aboard a comfortable trolley tour bus. The narrated two-hour
tour will cover over 100 points of interest including Old Town,
the Gaslamp Quarter, Coronado and Balboa Park. Advance tickets
are required for all family members, and seats are limited.
Please indicate whether any passengers will be in wheelchairs.
