SERVICE & SOCIAL JUSTICE

The Oscar Romero Center for Faith in Action
See the World with New Eyes

USD Students in service

Inspired by the life and work of Archbishop Oscar Romero of El Salvador, whose defense of the poor and advocacy for justice led to his martyrdom, the Romero Center offers a variety of local service opportunities, monthly trips to Tijuana, Mexico, and week-long immersion experiences.

All of the Center’s activities emerge out of the Catholic identity of the University as well as its commitment to Catholic Social Teaching.

The Romero Center is located in Maher Hall, Room 252. Download the Romero Center informational flyer on immersion trips and local service projects or stop by to find out how to get involved. For more information contact Kelly Czajka at x4897.
