Founders Chapel Choir

The Founders Chapel Choir offers students opportunities to grow
in their faith,
expand their musical knowledge, learn more about the traditions of the Catholic
faith and be trained as leaders.
Students can be part of the large Founders Chapel
Choir as a
vocalist or an instrumentalist. In addition, students wanting
greater musical
challenges may audition for a position as cantor
or as a member of Women's
Ensemble, Men's Ensemble, or the
quartet. Very motivated students can apply,
interview, and acquire
positions as student directors.
The students in the choir provide music for the many important
liturgical celebrations on
the campus, from the gathering of new
students at the New Student Parent Mass to the
Baccalaureate
Mass in May. The Founders Chapel Choir also provides music
for the
Student Liturgies on Sunday evenings, as well as Feast
Day celebrations.
In addition, the Founders Chapel Choir has performed at various
San Diego and Southern
California musical events, including
Children's Hospital, the VA Hospital, Alvarado
Psychiatric
Hospital, the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, the Tomorrow
Project for
Homeless Women at the Timken Museum, and the
closing Liturgy for the LA Religious
Education Congress.
