Founders Chapel Choir

Founders Chapel Choir

The Founders Chapel Choir offers students the opportunity to grow in faith while using and expanding their musical talents. The Choir joyfully and gracefully leads the community in prayer and song each Sunday evening during the student liturgies in Founders Chapel. All those interested are invited, including both vocalists and instrumentalists.  Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings. For more information, contact the Founders Chapel Choir Director, Annette Welsh at x6717.

Those students desiring greater musical and leadership opportunities may audition to be a cantor and be part of the men's or women's ensemble. Very motivated students can apply and interview for  the position of student director.

Beyond providing music for the many important liturgical celebrations on campus, the Founders Chapel Choir has performed at various social service agencies including City of Hope, Las Colinas Women's Detention Center,, Alvarado Psychiatric Hospital, and the Tomorrow Project for Homeless Women.

The Choir has also been asked to perform at the Timken Museum in Balboa Park, the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, and during the closing liturgy of the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress.
