Budget Committee
The Budget Committee is comprised of twenty-five faculty, administrative, and student members representing all areas of the University. Co-chaired by the Vice President & Provost and Vice President for Finance and Administration, the Budget Committee’s role is to:
- Review broad environmental and economic factors such as higher education industry trends and salary studies;
- Review the University’s Operating Report which details the University’s fiscal performance in comparison to budget;
- Review and assess historical budget assumptions and strategic priorities;
- Identify and review factors that may impact the budget or the University’s fiscal performance; and
- Recommend tuition rates and increases to the operating budget which are subsequently reviewed and approved by the Board of Trustees.
