As many USD drivers grapple with soaring fuel prices and the impact of greenhouse emissions on the environment, the university has found a way to help. Members of the university community have the opportunity to reserve a rental car through Zipcar, a car sharing community. Zipcars are equipped with wireless technology and are energy efficient vehicles. Zipcar will provide drivers the freedom to have transportation when they need it without the expense and trouble of having a personal car on campus. Better yet, for every Zipcar on the road, an estimated 15 commuters' cars are eliminated.

A brand new branch will open on campus the week of September 15th. In the meantime, students, faculty and staff may sign up for an account in the UC on the lower level with a rep from the bank. Three new ATMs are also now available: one outside the University Center, one at the Jenny Craig Pavilion and one within Bert's Bistro in Mother Rosalie Hill Hall (SOLES).
