Ambassador

 

Joining employees who together demonstrate the mission, core values and goals that form the identity of USD as a Catholic University.

Our Purpose
USD’s Ambassador Program was created to welcome and immerse new employees into the USD community. New employee cohorts are assigned to a pair of Ambassadors at their New Employee Orientation. Ambassadors are carefully selected current employees who have been identified as someone who demonstrates the mission and values of the university.  This program provides an opportunity for Ambassadors to share their love of the university and help new employees become fully integrated in the USD community.

Overview
Ambassadors are to be a point of contact for questions, to expose new employees to on-campus events and programs, and provide any additional support unique to a new employee’s experience. Ambassadors will meet with their new employee cohort once a month for six months at a variety of events, including, but not limited to, a university sponsored sports event, cultural event, networking event, a coffee or lunch meeting.

Goals
After participating in the Ambassador Program we anticipate that new employees will feel a sense of satisfaction with their choice to join the USD family and develop a connection to USD.
