Jobs are added, updated and removed on a daily basis (Monday thru Friday), as information is received from the hiring managers.
There are a few different ways to find our job postings. From the home page, click on any of the following links to find our available jobs:

From the next page, select “All Postings” from the drop down list next to Date Posted and click.
. Click on the posting numbers to view a detailed description.
In order to apply for a job, you need to do two things: (1) create a profile within our database and then (2) apply for the specific job. There are two ways you can do this:
- You can find the job you want to apply for and then click the Apply Now button. This will walk you through the steps to create a profile and the job application;
- OR, you can create your profile first, by clicking
. After you create your profile, you can search for jobs and then click Apply Now and it will walk you through the final steps of applying. - The application must be received by midnight on the closing date listed on the job posting.
- Please note that external job postings will be up for at least five days. After that time, applications will be reviewed by the hiring manager/committee throughout the posting period. A candidate may be selected at any time which could then close this posting on a date earlier than listed.
The recruitment for the position has most likely either closed or the position has been filled.
If you do not have an email address, we encourage you to get one from one of the numerous free email providers (Hotmail, Yahoo!, Gmail, etc.). Having an email address will allow you to create a profile in iRecruitment and ensures that you will receive timely updates regarding the status of your application.
That is normal. The system is keeping tracking of your preferences although it will not communicate that to you.
Hold the Control button while selecting multiple job categories.
Please log into your profile account that you created in iRecruitment. Click on the “Jobs” tab and then click on “Jobs applied for”. If your application status states “Active Application,” then the hiring manager will be able to access it to review. If you are selected to continue on with the process, then you will be contacted by the hiring manager.
Have you been on one page for longer than 20 minutes? If so, the system probably “timed out” to ensure that if you left the computer someone could not come and see your information. Please try to login again. You may have to input information that was not saved. If your login does not work, you may need to re-register.
We want to know if there are any problems or concerns about our online application system. Please contact us either via email (hr@sandiego.edu) or by phone at 619-260-4594.
The online recruitment system will allow you the capability of uploading up to five documents, however only one document can be uploaded under the categories of “resume” and “cover letter”.
Tip: If you want to have two different resumes because you have applied for two different jobs, then you will need to upload the second document under the “other “category.
As often as you would like. Your profile should be updated when you have gained additional experience, training, education, or if your contact information changes. It is a good idea to check your profile for accuracy before submitting an application.
