One Stop Student Center

One Stop Student Center

The University of San Diego has determined that providing excellent academic support services and financial services to its students is a high priority. The approach that USD has adopted to provide these services is the “One Stop” approach. “One Stop” means a single web portal (virtual One Stop) to provide online services and a single office location (physical One Stop) to provide personal service to USD students.

The information below shows how USD arrived at this point. The Report of the One Stop Task Force contains the recommendations of that group that USD adopt the One Stop approach. This report was accepted by the Executive Council in April 2006. The Recommendation to the Executive Council document details my efforts to follow through on the One Stop Task Force Report and the recommendations I made to the Executive Council for implementing its prior decisions with respect to the physical One Stop. The Report to the Board of Trustees shows a timeline for what has and will happen with respect to One Stop. The One Stop Floorplan shows how the central one-third of Serra Hall will be renovated to construct the physical One Stop Student Center.

I would be happy to discuss these plans with any interested parties.

Dr. Thomas Herrinton
