AFP is an organization dedicated to helping educate and advance the careers of those in the rapidly changing field of development.  AFP promotes ethical standards, provides a network for members, lists local, regional and national employment opportunities, and offers a pool for consultant services.  Members of AFP are apprised of legislative issues affecting voluntary nonprofit organizations, and a noteworthy chapter function, is the annual awards for San Diego's Volunteer, Philanthropist, Philanthropic Organization and Development Executive.  Luncheon meetings of the San Diego Chapter are held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. generally on the first Friday of each month. Each meeting features an invited speaker who examines a particular aspect of the development profession. We hope you will join us at our next chapter meeting.
