Admission Criteria For the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program
- Master’s degree in nursing with APN specialty preparation
- California RN license
- 1 year recent APN clinical nursing experience
- Basic computer literacy
- Graduate grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
- The GRE general test is recommended but not required
- Completion of the University Application for the Doctor of Nursing Practice, including application fee
- The goal statement in the application will require the applicant to elucidate a specific clinical practice focus and clinical issue or problem
- One official transcript from each college or university attended
- Three completed recommendation forms (included in the Doctoral application)
- Certification as an APN
- An example of scholarly writing (thesis, article, paper)
- Resume
- Interview
