Diane L. Fatica
Diane L. Fatica, Clinical Assistant Professor in the Nurse Practitioner Program, received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of San Diego. She also completed post-Master’s training in Family Health Nursing and Adult and Geriatric Nurse Practitioner training from Duke University in North Carolina and George Washington University in Washington, DC. Professor Fatica is dually certified as an Adult and Family Nurse Practitioner.

Her area of clinical expertise is primarily in Adult Health and she has extensive clinical experience in Adult Primary Care, Internal Medicine, and Family Practice. Ms. Fatica has practiced with underserved populations for the majority of her career. She now practices in Internal Medicine and also volunteers her services at St. Leo’s Medical Clinic, working primarily with Hispanic patients in the Solana Beach area.

At USD, Professor Fatica has coordinated the Simulated Patient Nursing Clinical Laboratory and now works with students in the Standardized Patient Program. She joins the Standardized Patient Program faculty team in presenting USD’s unique Standardized Patient Program at Nursing Conferences, such as NONPF and ASPE, throughout the United States.
