The School of Business Administration's mission states that we are, "committed to developing socially responsible leaders and improving global business practice through innovative, personalized education and applied research." Our faculty and staff are dedicated to blending academic rigor with the development of relevant skills within a values-based educational experience. This "artful" approach is recognized as distinguishing and differentiating the students who graduate from USD. 

The Department of Engineering is "dedicated to providing student-centered education emphasizing engineering fundamentals and design; advancing scholarship in engineering education; and pursuing application-driven research." Our Engineering program has been nationally recognized by U.S. News & World Report and has distinguished itself by offering a unique BS/BA dual degree which combines intensive technical education in preparation for work in industry with the University's traditional emphasis in the liberal arts.

It is our deliberate intention to emphasize in our graduate and undergraduate curricula, ethical principles and personal integrity as core values in educating the next generation of leaders in the fields of business and engineering.
