On Wednesday, May 21, and Thursday, May 22, the WorldLink Program at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice (IPJ) will host the San Diego Regional Junior Model United Nations’ 37th Annual Conference – the oldest JMUN Conference west of the Mississippi River.

At this student-run, two-day event, 6th through 9th graders will represent various countries in an educational simulation of the committees that make up the United Nations, and debate on a wide range of policy topics, including nuclear proliferation, the protection of migrants and refugees, and the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. With support from the WorldLink program, the San Diego Regional JMUN Conference will host over 350 students representing eleven schools throughout San Diego County. Student leaders from Scripps Ranch High School and Patrick Henry High School serve as primary organizers.
