The University of San Diego’s part-time MBA program continues to be one of the top 20 in the country, according to Bloomberg Businessweek’s latest ranking.
USD’s program is ranked 17th in the nation according to the list released Nov. 7. USD has been ranked in the top 20 since 2011 on the list published by Businessweek every other year.
“Our consistently strong performance in Bloomberg Businessweek’s MBA rankings is proof that the excellence of our program is being widely recognized,” said David Pyke, dean of USD’s School of Business Administration.
USD’s program ranked 9th in student satisfaction, a clear sign that “we are meeting the needs and objectives of our students,” Pyke added.
Graduates from this year’s Evening MBA program were hired by a number of leading firms including Amazon, Cymer, Inc., Life Technologies Corp., and McKinsey & Co.
USD’s Evening MBA program offers the same curriculum as the Full-time MBA but is designed for full-time professionals. The Evening Program, typically completed in 24 to 36 months, emphasizes a personalized learning experience, an academically rigorous and relevant program, study abroad opportunities and connections to industry professionals. In compiling the rankings, Businessweek uses three elements – academic quality including GMAT scores, class sizes and completion rates; an alumni survey and a goals measure looking at how the MBA program met the students’ career objectives.
