| Text | On Thursday, February 17, the Trans-Border Institute at the University of San Diego will present findings from a new report on “Drug Violence in Mexico” that examines recent developments in Mexico's drug war and their implications for the coming year. TBI's recent report underscores the geographic concentration of violence, sharp increases due to new clashes among drug traffickers, and a qualitative shift that has led to the targeting of more public officials and civilians over the last year. The recent report will be presented by David Shirk, director of the Trans-Border Institute, and a panel of security experts. This event is free and open to the public and to the press, but RSVP in advance to moraymaj-11@sandiego.edu. The study can be found here.
