Fire Alert: May 14 Message to USD Faculty

Message

Dear USD Faculty Member,

The fire situation in the northern part of San Diego county has become more severe, with some homes burned and evacuations ordered for thousands of people. While at this time the USD campus is not directly affected and hence we plan to remain open, it is possible that either you or some of your students will be affected such that you or they cannot make it to a final examination. In the event you cannot make it to campus to proctor a final, please contact your department chair, program head, or appropriate dean and notify them of the situation so that alternative arrangements can be made to have someone else proctor the final exam for you. If a student contacts you and says he or she cannot make it to campus to take a final, then please work with the student to make alternative arrangements to take the final exam at another time.

Sincerely,
Dr. Thomas Herrinton
Vice Provost
