Santa Barbara News-Press -- They were called the Lost Boys of Sudan, who saw their parents killed and villages burned as civil war raged in the Sudan in Africa during the 1980s.
Mou Riiny was one of them.
After graduating from the University of San Diego in 2011, Mr. Riiny, 25, returned to the village from which he escaped in South Sudan: Thiou has a population of about 400 and is located about 400 miles northwest of Juba, the country's largest city.
