S.D. Economy Forecast to Grow Through 2012
U-T San Diego -- San Diego County’s economy should continue to grow through 2012, picking up speed by the end of the year, says a study released Thursday by the University of San Diego.
The study, called the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate’s Leading Economic Indicators, shows the county economy grew by 0.9 percent in March. That means there was some solid expansion in categories like job creation, production of goods and services, and consumer spending. A change of 1 percent shows solid growth, said Alan Gin, a USD economist who authored the study. (Full Story)
