In the first of a series of three events -- Directions in Latino Representation -- co-sponsored by the Department of Communication Studies, Lambda Pi Eta, and the Center for Inclusion and Diversity in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, special guest speaker Mariana Diaz-Wionczek, Senior Director of Research and Development at Nickelodeon, will discuss the cultural impact of "Dora the Explorer," starring latina cartoon character Dora Marquez.
