We have all heard and read countless success stories about entrepreneurs. Do you recognize the great ideas that are everywhere? How can you capitalize on an inspired realization? Is there a formula for entrepreneurial success?
George Namkung will show us why and how sudden instincts can become real business opportunities that succeed without a huge investment and in a short period of time. He has proven that great ideas can come from obscure places. His entrepreneurial journey begins at age 10 when he seized an opportunity that made him known as the “Comic Book King of Tokyo” and led to his ability to be self-supporting at that early age. And, although the story has not yet culminated, it has already reached the heights of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Each step of his remarkable story provides enormous lessons in business spirit, perseverance and leadership.
He recently retired after 34 years and recently transitioned his non-profit Kids of Kilimanjaro, which serves lunch to 15,000 hungry and needy students in Tanzania every day, to the World Food Programme. He has been named Huffington Post's “Greatest Person of the Day” and has appeared in countless newspapers, business magazines and on radio. At age 71, he is about to launch another business, taking a complete line of Made in USA products to China as the sole, exclusive distributor for a segment leader based in Orange County.
