The Big G.I.F.T. Week
|Event Start Date||Monday, April 22, 2013 – Friday, April 26, 2013|
The Big G.I.F.T. Week is a campus-wide event dedicated to encouraging students to give back to University of San Diego. The week will consist of a competition between all student organizations to encourage members to donate. Free In 'N' Out will be given at the USD baseball game on Friday, April 26 and a prize will be given to the organization with the most donors.
G.I.F.T. stands for Give + Invest For Toreros. The purpose of the Culture of Giving Committee is to create a collaboration between Student Affairs, Office of Annual Giving, and the Office of Alumni Relations to increase awareness among students about the significance of giving, to fund class scholarship programs and student organizations, and to instill the value of philanthropy in students. The goal for the 2012-2013 school year is to have 10 percent undergraduate student participation.
