| Message | In a parallel event of the annual U.N. Commission on the Status of Women, this panel highlights the recommendations of the international conference “Breaking Barriers: What it will take to achieve security, justice and peace,” held in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of the Women PeaceMakers Program at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice. One hundred forty-eight gender experts from 48 countries from civil society, U.N. agencies, security, politics and justice convened in September 2012 to discuss the persistent barriers to achieving gender security, justice and peace. The presentation will feature the launch of the final report from the conference. Panelists include:
