Silent Spring, written by Rachel Carson, is this year’s USD Just Read! book selection. The book is credited as launching the environmental movement and aligns well with USD’s commitment to sustainability and social change.

As part of the 50th year celebration of its release, we have accumulated a panel of experts to discuss the relevance of Carson’s work and how the issues presented in the text are still very much a part of our lives. Come join us for a stimulating conversation with panelists from various disciplines to discuss some important environmental issues of today through the lens of their disciplines and the social impact surrounding these issues.

Books are available for check out at the Center for Educational Excellence and Human Resources. Please RSVP for this presentation by contacting the CEE at www.sandiego.edu/cee
