The Ahlers Center for International Business welcomes Jose Antonio Quesada, partner and financial services leader of Mexico, PwC, who will give a talk entitled, "Mexico 2030: A Vision of the Future."
Lunch will be provided.
Mexico is facing a very important challenge to becoming the rapid star of the emerging economies. Having been overlooked among the BRICK countries, we'll discuss the necessary reforms and changes the economy needs to surpass BRICK economies and get the 5-8 percent GDP steady growth required to be an influential economy in 2030.
Mr. Quesada has broad experience in anti-money laundering, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions. He has also conducted reviews of derivative products for the purposes of the Banco de Mexico (Central Bank) and the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV). He's published a number of articles in publications such as Expansión, Mundo Ejecutivo, Contaduría Pública, Ejecutivos en Finanzas, etc. and in newspapers such as el Norte and Reforma. During 2003, he was a member of the Editorial Board of the el Norte newspaper. He is a member of the Mexican Public Accountants Institute, A.C., the Representative Commission of Financial Institutions, A.C. (CRISEF), member of the Public Accountants Association, A.C., the International Financial Institutions Association, A.C. and the Pan-American Top Management Institute (IPADE).
