IPJ Daylight Series Presents: A Conversation with Santosh Shah

Santosh Shah is founder and president of Today’s Youth Asia, a multi-media and youth organization that empowers young emerging leaders in Nepal with leadership skills to confront local, regional, national and global issues. He is an award-winning journalist and the anchor and producer of the television talk show “POWER TALKS.”

Over the past 10 years he has gained recognition as a progressive youth leader, providing opportunities for Nepalese youths through several innovative youth-oriented programs and projects. He served as a panelist on the United Nations Youth Advisory Panel from 2008-2010 and received the title “Youth Ambassador for Peace” from the Youth Federation for World Peace. He recently was recognized by Diplomatic Courier as one of the “Top 99 Most Influential International Professionals Under 33.”

Shah has worked closely with the IPJ since 2004, and most recently assisted with the expansion of the IPJ’s work in the Terai region of southern Nepal. Shah will share his perspectives on the current political situation in Nepal and the role of youth in post-conflict recovery.
