This year’s Women PeaceMakers (WPMs) cover a wide breadth of experience: a democracy and anti-debt activist and educator from Kenya; a pharmacist who healed the wounded and now supports widows and orphans in Iraq; the first female prime minister of Haiti and recent secretary general of Pax Christi International; and an “untouchable” lawyer and human rights leader combating gender and caste discrimination in India.

The Women PeaceMakers Program documents the stories and best practices of international women leaders who are involved in human rights and peacemaking efforts in their home countries. Please join us for a panel discussion to hear about the extraordinary work that these courageous women are doing to bring peace to their communities.
