As part of an initiative to enhance social change initiatives on campus, USD will be hosting Ashoka Fellow, Greg van Kirk, April 11 - 12. With initiative from the provost, USD is under consideration to become an AshokaU Changemaker Campus. Greg's visit will be an opportunity to engage in conversation about existing and potential future social change efforts on campus and share ideas about changemaking across departments and disciplines. This will be an opportunity to share with van Kirk your interests and activities related to social change as well as ongoing or planned efforts in USD departments. There will also be a chance to learn from him a sense of the ways in which Ashoka Fellows (there are over 2,000 around the world) interact with faculty, students, and staff at other universities. The goal is to have a stimulating discussion and share ideas about social change in relation to activities within USD. The intention of the events is to be as inclusive as possible and, ultimately, to facilitate and highlights USD's involvement in the process of fostering social change.
   
      
Monday April 11

9 a.m.: Campus tour with Associated Students
9:30 a.m.: Meeting with Student Affairs and students; University Center, Room 103

12 p.m.: Luncheon at the School of Leadership and Education Sciences; Mother Rosalie Hill Hall, Dean’s Conference Room
1:15 p.m.: Talk for Kristine Ehrich’s class, “Public Policy and Marketing;”Olin Hall, Room 130
4 p.m.: Dialogue with College of Arts and Science faculty and Sustainability Task Force
