School of Business Community Assistance Program

The University of San Diego , School of Business Administration Community Assistance Programs (CAP) helps business, non-profit, and government organizations while providing students with unique learning opportunities. Specialized assistance is available to employers for most areas of business. Our experiential learning programs include internships, independent study and class projects. Our Community Assistance Programs offers benefits to employers, students and the University. Employers obtain quality assistance from USD business students. Students may later become permanent employees. Students acquire valuable experience and knowledge in "real-world" work situations, while gaining important career contacts and references. Through these experiential learning opportunities, the School of Business Administration advances the education of its students while serving the community and society.

Thanksgiving House

The mission of the Thanksgiving House project is to improve the quality of life of deserving Linda Vista citizens by renovating their houses. This mission is accomplished by USD graduate students enrolled in the Project Management course. The house renovation project provides students with the opportunity to learn and apply the tools and techniques of project management while doing a community service. The Project Management course is offered every fall semester and the renovation work is completed the week before Thanksgiving, hence the name The Thanksgiving House.

BusinessLink

BusinessLink USD is the forum that fosters intellectual exchange. Comprised of prominent top-level executives recognized as industry leaders, the Executive Committee of BusinessLink USD is a select and diverse leadership group whose mission is to have a profound influence on the educational and economic vitality of the future. Members interact directly with the University President, Deans, and one another, to extend advice and counsel on business, academic, social, environmental and legislative issues. They also serve as a resource to assist in the pursuit and accomplishment of the vision, priorities and goals for the University.

Burnham- Moore Center for Real Estate

The Center's mission is to deliver outstanding education, industry outreach and research services to advance socially responsible leadership in real estate. Our vision is to be a world-class real estate center. The Center offers Free Career Expos, Conferences, and other events to the community.

Workforce Housing Workshops

These workshops and conferences are to serve as an open forum to the community and University on local housing issues. The Workshops and Conference are funded by the USD Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate.
