The Telecommunications department, headed by Tina Wing, is responsible for providing a broad range of modern communications services including phone service, voice mail, cable TV and data/network connections for faculty, staff and students in residence halls.

Telecommunications maintains and manages a network of cable (copper, coax and fiber optic), telephone switches and data network equipment and is heavily involved in providing direction and strategic management of the telecommunications needs for all university-related renovations and new construction sites.

The Telecommunications staff processes requests for service changes and equipment installation and relocations. They also maintain a database of phone subscribers, which is used for monthly telephone service billing for university departments and preparation of the campus directory. They also coordinate vendor services for pagers, cellular phone and calling cards for department administrators.
