Checking Class Schedules and Grades

Class Schedules are available online to help you find what courses are available and which are full each semester. To check this, click on the Class Schedule link on the http://my.sandiego.edu page. You can also click here to access the page. The page you come to should have the fields pictured below.

There are many fields that you can put information in to find a class, but only a few are required to see a list of classes.Each one lets you fine tune your search.

1. Department: The most common search, search for a class by what department it is in, such as English or Religious Studies.
2. Class: If you happen to know what class you want, and are checking to see if it is still open, type it in here.
3. Course Code: You might know the Course Code number of a class you are required to take. Enter it here.
4. Instructor: Maybe there is a Professor you want to take a course with. Enter their name and search.
5. Classroom: If there is one room on campus you're dying to have a class in, check here.
6. Days: One of the more important fields, you can search for a class that is on the days you have open (or the ones you actually want to take class on).
7. Between: Filter out those annoying morning classes by picking the times you want to take class.
8. Only Show Open Classes: Avoid seeing a list of all the classes you could have taken by checking this box.
9. GE Requirements: Do a quick search for classes that meet a particular GE Requirement.
10. Semester: The most important field, make sure you select what semester you are looking for classes in. Otherwise you may find yourself planning for classes that aren't offered in the coming semester.

Any combination of these options may be entered to help narrow down your search for a particular class.

Checking Grades

To check grades click on the Check Grades link on the http://my.sandiego.edu page. The first thing you must do is set up a secure connection. In the address bar of your web browser, add an "s" to the end of "http" and hit enter to reload the page.

Change the "http"...

...to "https"

Now, just enter your username and password to login and your grades will appear.
