As the Lab Manager for the Academic Technology Services department, I manage three public computing labs and seven instructional computing labs here on campus. I have a staff of over thirty Lab Assistants and three Lab Supervisors that I supervise and work with closely. A major portion of my job is assisting users in our public and instructional labs with using and troubleshooting software programs on both desktop and laptop computers. From time to time I assist the ITS Help Desk with the installation or removal of classroom and lab software as well as setting up labs with new computers. When I am not assisting users, I am dedicated to managing lab reservations and software requests for the academic technology computing labs and classrooms across campus as well as maintaining the ATS labs website weekly. In between all that, I often volunteer each semester to teach some of the Microsoft products through IT Training, manage the SPSS software license on campus and assist with other projects within the ITS department. |
