Who Is the iTeam?

Arthur Rush, Sr. Instructional Support Analyst arthurrush

In addition to being the iTeam supervisor, Arthur is the USD WebCT/CE Administrator and CE Certified Trainer. With over 15 years of teaching and curriculum design experience at institutions of higher learning, here and abroad, Arthur also brings a Masters in Applied Linguistics and a Masters in Education Technology with 10 years of academic technology experience to USD. His areas of interest include e-learning, instructional design, teaching, training, and emerging academic technologies.

Jeff Simmons, Instructional Support Analyst jeff

Jeff supports the USD community as an Instructional Analyst with a Masters Degree in Instructional Technology and 6 years of Instructional and Multimedia design experience within NASA Education. He is involved in supporting faculty, staff, and students by developing software and hardware training that addresses their needs. Jeff is currently investigating some exciting educational technologies such as virtual learning spaces for student and faculty use.

Cyd Burrows, Instructional Support Analyst cyd

Cyd has been with USD for over 5 years working primarily with distance education, online course design and delivery, and supporting faculty in their use of existing and emerging technologies. Cyd’s goal is to provide inspiration and to work with instructors, encouraging the adoption and incorporation of available and appropriate technologies for their teaching, and in creating and maintaining rich and powerful learning environments. Cyd’s interests include distance and mobile educational access, collaborative online technology, and researching emerging technologies that impact education.  

Dan Vaught, Instructional Support Analyst cyd

As an Instructional Support Analyst, Dan supports the USD community by developing training materials and workshops designed to facilitate the integration of new technology into the classroom. The primary applications he supports include Microsoft Office products, Adobe Creative Suite, and various Web development applications and platforms. Dan holds dual Masters Degrees in Digital Art and Business Administration, and possesses over 15 years of experience in the field of education.
