Every Saturday, a group of USD students hosts a pancake bake downtown to serve the underserved communities within San Diego. Come join the Pancake Peeps and Associated Students President Will Tate in downtown San Diego to witness the daily lives of underserved communities and reconsider assumptions about the homeless. There are four main goals of Pancake Peeps: 1. To love people downtown with compassion to the point of action; 2. To bridge the gap between those privileged with education, careers and/or homes with those who are underserved; 3. To provide a safe space for homeless families downtown,; 4. To encourage transformation in the lives of the people downtown by connecting them with agencies and services that already exist. Transportation will be provided for this event.
