Brad Melekian’s award-winning work has appeared in The New York Times, McSweeney’s, Men’s Journal, ESPN and The Surfer’s Journal, among others. He is a senior writer at Surfer Magazine and a correspondent at Outside. His book, Breaking: Surfing After Andy Irons, is forthcoming. Melekian holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of San Diego, and a Master of Professional Writing in Creative Writing from the University of Southern California, and he is an assistant professor of English at the University of San Diego.
